Rohrer Studio is an award winning, architecture and interiors firm located in the historic Mount Vernon neighborhood of Baltimore, Maryland. Founded in 1999, the firm is led by Principals Dianne Rohrer and Jim Suttner who bring over 60 combined years of interior and architectural expertise to the project team.
As specialists in both architecture and interior design, Rohrer Studio project solutions keep the human scale experience a priority and allow all facets of the project to work hand-in-hand to create a unified whole. Talent, collaboration and commitment are key amongst our closely knit team of architects and designer as we work together in an open studio environment.
We are passionate about creating quality spaces that meet client goals, schedules & budgets while weaving the project into an intriguing, unified environment. Our clients appreciate our passion and hands- on commitment and we find that over 85% of our projects are for repeat clients.

Dianne J. Rohrer, ASID
Dianne has practiced architectural and interior design for over 33 years and has been recognized on local, national and international levels with awards from the American Institute of Architects, American Society of Interior Designers, International Interior Design Association and multiple publications. Her passion and drive to discover the unique soul of a project for each client instinctively leads our team toward spirited, logical solutions that are simple and elegant. Translating the essence of the project from concept to detailing - her talents include new construction, adaptive reuse and renovation designs for public and private clients as well as small scale form-making through lighting and furniture design. Her incorporation of living walls received recognition nationally and she is a former instructor of interior design at The Maryland Institute College of Art.
James P. Suttner, AIA
Jim has practiced architecture for over 30 years and has received numerous awards from the American Institute of Architects in Maryland, Baltimore and Pennsylvania as well as other preservation and professional organizations. Through his energy, talent and commitment to stellar client service Jim is a constant inspiration to the entire project team. He is committed to exceeding client goals while leading projects to be sensitive to schedule and budget. With a wide range of expertise in new construction, renovation, master planning, religious spaces, adaptive reuse, and historic preservation - he consistently transforms complex project requirements into an end result of graceful character. He is a former board member of Baltimore Heritage and has chaired the Architectural Review Committee for Mount Vernon.
